ZOOglemaps - a googlemaps module for ZOO.
Bring Google Maps to your website in a simple and easy way.
The module displays items on the map from the ZOO catalog. The type of item that appears on the map must have the googlemaps element from which the location is taken.
ZOOglemaps also supports the JBZoo filter.

ZOOglemaps will only work correctly if your setup meets next requirements and dependencies.
Important: I can only provide support for setups that do not have extension files or Joomla! core files which have been altered in any way.

Minimum Version of PHP

Minimum Version of MySQL

Minimum Version of Joomla!CMS

IMPORTANT: Before using this plugin need previously install YOOtheme ZOO 3.3.x or higher.

First, download the Module from this page.

  1. Go to the Joomla Extension Manager (Joomla Administration / Extensions / Extension Manager / Install).
  2. Use the "Upload Package File" option to choose the previously downloaded package from your pc.
  3. Click on the "Upload & Install" button.

Note: When you are facing an error during installation, it is highly recommended to try to Install from directory:

  1. Unpack all files from the plugin downloaded to a directory on your pc.
  2. Using FTP, upload this directory to the /tmp directory of your Joomla installation on your webserver.
  3. Go to the Joomla Extension Manager (Joomla Administration / Extensions / Extension Manager / Install).
  4. Use the "Install from Directory" option to set the directory of your uploaded package files.
  5. Click on the "Install" button and Joomla will install it from the given directory.

The module is easy to setup. After installing it to your Joomla 3.x website do the following steps:

1. In the module manager, enable the maps module and select the pages where you want to display

2. Add your own API key (in order to get an API key, you will need to create a Google account, but do not need to purchase any Google products)

3. Set the latitude and the longitude of your location (this site will help you to find the coordinates based on your address)

4. Change custom settings of the map and publish the module.

Here is a screenshot of the available parameters. The fields marked with * are required files, the module will not work with incorrect API key or missing coordinates.
